This year's tournament will take place on Saturday, August 22nd, 2009.
As last year, the tournament will take place at several parks in and around Unionville (click on each name for a map).
- Carlton Park
- Crosby Park
- Monarch Park
- Milliken Mills Park (This park doesn't show up on Google, but the entrance is on the south side of 14th, between Kennedy and Birchmount.)
The rest of the details:
- 16 teams in tournament
- 4 park locations ( 4 teams/park)
- Teams play round robin games at the same park
- Each team will play at least 3 games
- Top 4 teams advance to Semi-final
- Semi-final games will be played at Carlton Park and Crosby Park
- Final played at Crosby park- Unionville
- BBQ at Crosby Park, Unionville
- Each player will receive a meal ticket for BBQ.
- Friends & family can purchase ticket for BBQ at park ( $ 5.00 /ticket)
- The first game starts at 9:30 am
- Each game is a maximum of 1 hour in length
- Final schedule will be posted on website by Wednesday Evening.
- Fee per player - $ 25.00 ( includes BBQ)
And on game day:
- Birks Ball Tournament signage will be located near all 4 fields (see picture of sign in the picture section of the website)
- Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your first game… there will be some paper work, etc that needs to be completed before you can play.
- Raffle tickets will be sold during the day for some good stuff… Raffle will take place at BBQ at end of Final game.
- Bring a lawn chair for the BBQ
